I'd never made chevrons until now, so this was something new and fun! I haven't totally finished Part 1 yet, but am following Bonnie's advice to start the next step anyway (not that I need much encouragement to start something when I haven't finished the last project, hahaha!)
Here are the first few chevrons I sewed, together with a few of the Part 1 units. I like the 3D effect I'm getting from using lighter and darker colors together.
We just decided this weekend to adopt a second quilt inspector. Her name is Ophelia and she may be coming home with us soon as the 19th. Only 10 days to get ready!
I'll post a photo of her next time :)
Edited to add the Mystery Monday Link up, I forgot to do that earlier, oopsie!
I love how your colors just seem to melt together! Nice fabric choices!

ReplyDeleteColors are gorgeous, Misha!
ReplyDeleteI love your colors and look forward to seeing how different your Celtic Solstice quilt will turn out. I was not brave enough to choose different colors.
ReplyDeleteOh my your colors are just wonderful. It is so much fun to see what each person is doing...love link up Monday.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color combinations. Very classy and formal feeling.
ReplyDeletethey all look excellent
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics! I'm loving how people's individual fabric and colour choices give such different looks to the same pattern.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited that you are doing this since obviously I wasn't able to. :) You have a good fabric selection. I would start the next step without finishing one myself. I don't think I have done chevrons either. Sam
ReplyDeleteSam, are you thinking of starting this later? Saving the steps? I need to pick out my final fabrics for the New Year's Day quilt but have been distracted by other things lately...like the pending adoption of a new furbaby :)
DeleteThanks everyone for the nice comments!!!
